Description

Whey Permeate is a natural and unique product, ready for food fortification. It is ideal for the production of isotonic drinks, smoothies, food fortified products and healthy and efficient feed for livestock.

Technical aspects

Whey Permeate is a free-flowing, homogeneous powder that ranges in color from creamy white to yellow and contains no foreign odors or flavors. It is made from fresh, pasteurized skimmed milk obtained after the milk is ultrafiltrated during sweet cheese production. The Whey is then dried using modern spray drying methods.

Whey Permeate is commonly used as a filler and to reduce hygroscopicity. It is also characterized by very good fluidity. It enables the formation of stable emulsions, the binding of moisture retention and the reduction of fat. In addition, Whey Permeate is rich in lactose but low in protein.

Storage

The storage period of Whey Permeate is about 18 months. The product should be stored in a dry, clean warehouse with a max. temperature of 25°C and relative humidity max. 75%.
