Description

R-Alpha lipoic acid is a pale yellow crystalline substance used in food and dietary applications. It is known for its specific purity range and is valued for its defined physicochemical and microbiological properties.

Technical aspects

The product has a purity (assay, dried basis) of 99.0%–101.0% and a melting point of 48–51°C. It features a specific rotation of +115° to +125°, loss on drying ≤0.5%, and total impurities ≤2.0%. From a microbiological standpoint, total count ≤1000 cfu/g, mould and yeasts ≤100 cfu/g, with no presence of E. coli or Salmonella.

Storage

Best before: June 26, 2026. Store in tightly closed containers at controlled room temperature.
