Potato Protein is an ideal source of vegetable protein in the food and feed industry. It is also an effective thickening agent.

Technical aspects

Potato Protein is a fine, loose powder of gray, light gray or yellowish green color and has the typical odor of dried potatoes. Potato Protein is obtained by cleaning, steaming and peeling potatoes. Then the starch is extracted with water to produce a slurry, which is treated with acid, then dried and processed into powder.
Potato Protein is a rich source of plant protein and contains essential amino acids. In addition, it has functional properties – it can be used as a thickener and has water-binding properties.
The raw material for the production of Potato Protein is starch potatoes of Polish origin. Foodcom S.A. offers potato protein in feed, food, and industrial grade.

Storage

The storage period of Potato Protein is 18 months. The product should be stored in a dry, well-ventilated place.
