Technical aspects

Magnesium oxide occurs as a white, crystalline substance. It is also obtained by burning magnesium or roasting magnesite (magnesium carbonate) or dolomite. It can also be obtained by subjecting magnesium carbonate to a calcination process.

Magnesium oxide is poorly soluble in water, but readily soluble in acids. It is characterized by resistance even at high temperatures and is resistant to corrosion. It has high thermal conductivity, but low electrical conductivity. Magnesium oxide is essential for the proper functioning of the body – it improves the functioning of the nervous system, enhances cognitive abilities and supports the proper functioning of muscles.

The shelf life of magnesium oxide is two years.
