Description

Berberine HCL is a yellow crystalline powder extracted from Berberis aristata roots using ethanol and water. It contains 98% berberine sulfate and has a characteristic taste and smell.

Technical aspects

The product has a bulk density of 0.30–0.70 g/ml and passes at least 95% through an 80 mesh sieve. Moisture content is ≤12.0%, ash content ≤0.2%, and DER (Drug Extract Ratio) is 100:1. Microbiologically safe – free from E. coli, Salmonella, and Staphylococcus, with total plate count ≤10,000 cfu/g and moulds/yeasts ≤300 cfu/g. Benzo(a)pyrene content ≤10 µg/kg.

Storage

36 months when stored in a cool, dry place away from light and heat. Do not freeze.
